Small things carry the biggest stories... this little drawstring pouch was pieced together from scraps too lovely to throw away - fragments of Japanese Indigo linen, vintage velvet, cotton and silk, hand stitched with rows of quiet crosses, each patch is worn, mended, softened by time.
Small beautiful Sashiko stitched drawstring textile pouch to hold your precious memories... a photograph, crystals, a talisman or finds from the beach. It has been made by hand stitching on vintage Japanese dark indigo blue linen, with vintage velvet, silk and cotton, lined with a pretty floral pattern cotton hand printed in shades of grey blue, pale mulberry, green and indigo on a cream background. I then plaited 3 colours of matching cotton thread to make the drawstring cords ending in small silver colour bells. The pouch can be worn around the neck or hung as a decoration.
