One Of A Kind Poetry Shell Art Box no.2
A collection of textures and stories, gathered to awaken your own making, your own remembering... fragments of shell smooth from the sea, tiny pieces of crab shell, fragile and salt worn, pebbles, cool and weighty in the hand, lines of poetry - words to turn over like stones. The soul of the poetry shell art box is in it's contents.
All these amazing items were found on the Dorset beach just a 100 yards from my home and each piece was carefully chosen to give an interesting and varied selection of finds. There may be: shells, seaweed, coral, seed pods, glass, pottery, crabs, pebbles, metal, barnacles or parts of crustaceans. Each find is attached to the cream background with a single word from a poem about the sea below it. The art work has a cream mount and sits inside a light oak coloured, 3D box frame, with perspex rather than glass, for safety reasons.
